Weekly Training Summary: May 18 to 24, 2015

Wow, it was a busy week! I didn’t get as much running in as I had hoped. I did however check out a group workout Wednesday morning which is pledging to the November Project! It was tons of fun, hard work, and I really felt it the next day … Or two! I’m definitely going back for more!

Monday:

  • Afternoon hike – 10 km.

Tuesday:

  • Lunch run – 6 km on road.

Wednesday:

  • Vancouver November Project pledge – 1 hour group workout.

Thursday:

  • Slopitch game.

Friday:

  •  Rest day.

Saturday:

  •  Nothing, oops!

Sunday:

  • Morning run – 11 km on trail.

This week I’m going to try and throw some yoga into the mix and hit up the November Project pledge again on Wednesday morning. On Saturday I will be participating in Coast Mountain Trail Series’ Survival of the Fittest 18k distance, my first ever trail race!

I started running about three years ago. Until this time i had never considered myself a runner and actually hated running. I'm not sure what changed but i'm glad it did! I enjoy sharing my thoughts, training, and experiences through my blog and encouraging and supporting others in their running journeys. Since becoming a runner, I have completed a handful of half marathons, three full marathons, and four ultra marathons. However, my biggest accomplishments have been running the Rim2Rim2Rim in the Grand Canyon and completing a seven-day, 250km stage race in the Alps. These were adventures of a lifetime and something I had never imagined that I would do even in my wildest dreams!

  1. Love the balance of running vs resting days that you have scheduled – shaunie

    1. Thanks! I’m hoping to run/exercise more and rest less but it doesn’t always seem to happen that way! 🙂
